How To Use a Systemic To Protect Your Plants & Trees
A systemic insecticide is used to treat destructive pests that bore into plants and trees through their roots. Plants absorb the chemicals of the systemic insecticide and transport the active ingredients throughout the plant tissues. Are you new to using systemic insecticides? Here are some tips:
1. Read directions on bottle. The directions will discuss how much to dilute and how often to use.
2. Know when to use. A systemic can be applied late fall and early spring.
3. Dilute portion detailed on bottle in bucket of water and apply to base of trunk.
